May 15
The Mosque on Bolshaya Street was located in Admiralteyskaya Sloboda. It was a one-story wooden religious building with a log structure on a brick semi-basement floor. The architectural solution is based on classicist principles. Along the long axis to the main warm, heated part of the building are added cold porch frame-shaped structure with a four-column portico. The walls of the warm part are left in the form of unplanked logs, but separated by pilasters, hiding the ledges of the joints. The windows are decorated with casing moldings with a modest geometric ornament, traditional for Tatar architecture. The building is especially ornate because of its graceful octagonal minaret with overhanging eaves and a light tent.
