A wooden mosque in the village of Toigildino, Muslyumovsky district, RT
May 21
The wooden two-hall mosque, constructed from logs, is a monument of 19th-century architecture. The exterior walls are clad in horizontally hewn planks and are adorned with a gray paint. The logs protruding in the corners are decorated in the form of pilasters. The entrance is made on the long side of the building. On its axis there is an overhang in the form of an attached mud room. The minaret of an octagonal form is affixed to the gable end of the building. The decorative cornice divides the core of the minaret into two parts. The upper one is decorated with the continuous circular glazing and decorative stripe.
The high octagonal tent is constructed of gray corrugated sheeting. The small, plastic-framed windows are incompatible with the mosque’s historical appearance, which violates the requirements for the preservation of architectural monuments. There is a low fence made of corrugated sheeting and metal board fence around the mosque courtyard.
