The XI Republican Iftar will be held in Kazan on April 15

The Republican Iftar is organized by the Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan, the Directorate of Ak Bars Arena Stadium and Tugan Avylym National Tourist Complex at Kazan EXPO IEC. It is symbolic that the XI Republican Iftar will receive 11 thousand people. Among them are Muslims from all over Tatarstan, including those in need and people with disabilities, leaders of various levels, foreign ambassadors and consuls, etc.
Traditionally, participants of the Republican Iftar will have a rich cultural program before the start of the breaking the fast. This time, the guests will be pleased with the one-man show under the title “Dervish” performed by the People’s Artist of the Republic of Tatarstan, Artistic Director of Buinsk Tatar State Theater, Rail Sadriev. The play is based on the biography of the outstanding Tatar theologian Nurgali Hazrat Khasanov, who lived at the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries and worked as an imam in Buinsk. In addition, a video program in 3D graphics reflecting Tatar and Muslim traditions will be presented to the participants of the Iftar in the concert hall. Also, a halal market will work at the event site with colorful products, according to Sharia standards.
With the beginning of the time of Akhsham namaz at 18.49, the participants of the Republican Iftar will perform a collective prayer following the Mufti of Tatarstan Kamil Hazrat Samigullin, and then follow to the hall for a breaking the fast. The menu will include pilaf, dried fruits, pastries, fruits, water, sweets, etc. Portions will be dish out in handy containers, in which after the meal, you can take away goodies for the housemates, if desired.
Tickets for the XI Republican Iftar can be obtained now by contacting mosques or mukhtasibats of Tatarstan, as well as the Spiritual Directorate of Muslims of the Republic of Tatarstan. Based on the experience of last year, the organizers decided to make the electronic tickets.
For the convenience of participants, free special transfers on suburban trains will be organized to the venue of the XI Republican Iftar. This will avoid congestion on the highway leading to Kazan EXPO IEC. The possibility of free travel is provided upon presentation of a ticket for the XI Republican Iftar. Trains will run between Kazan Pass and Kazan International Airport stations, according to the following schedule:

600 volunteers from 16 years and older volunteered to help in meeting the guests of the Republican Iftar, organizing the performing of collective namaz, serving dishes and subsequent cleaning.
